An audible reverse alarm warns people nearby that the vehicle is moving backwards. Its effectiveness still depends on correct installation, maintenance and the conditions in which the vehicle is being used.
A reverse camera gives the driver additional visibility behind the vehicle. It does not replace mirrors, safe driving procedures or site traffic controls, but it can help address areas the driver may struggle to see directly.
