Dual battery systems are ideal if you enjoy camping or off-roading, where you often need to power a fridge, radio, or lighting system.

The team at Voltaic are equipped with the knowledge and tools to provide a high-quality dual battery installation in Perth.

The Team at Votaic were very helpful with short notice for the job required. They have friendly admin staff at the front and were able to assist with getting my car in the next day to have work done. The boys doing the job explained clearly on what was required and when the job would be completed by. Thank You Voltaic
Was very happy with the workmanship from Voltaic and Deon when fault finding my Redarc issues. They were prompt and precise with every detail, and kept me in a constant loop of feedback when required. In my previous roles I would audit businesses and part of this was their workshop. I would be happy to say, I was impressed by the layout and cleanliness of the workshop from an exterior viewing. I would be contacting them again when next in Perth for any auto electrical work I may have.
Very good job installing dash camera good clean install, had to return following day as they failed to reconnect the tail gate switch but only took a couple of minutes so all good. Would recommend for electrical works on your vehicle.

My 10 year old Hyundai has had poor aircon for some time and decided to do something about it. Voltaic was recommended by my regular mechanic so I called by late on Friday. They offered to run a diagnostic test then and there and the outcome was they could book me in first thing on Monday. It was all over by 10am when they called. I collected the car with some very cold air flowing and paid my $199 which I was thrilled. The service by all concerned was first rate and the outcome is better than I hoped.I will gladly recommend them to anyone and will very happily return when needed. Thanks to all concerned.
They do their damn best and actually explain the work they did in a way you can understand.
Fantastic service, had a Redarc brake controller installed.Had an issue, the guys went above and beyond to fix something that was out of their control. (Manufacturer).Highly recommend the team at Voltaic
I had another trip with my old Ford Fairmont with an electrical bug. Kayne was able to quickly diagnose the problem and all lights and indicators are now working. Not only that I now have ice cold air-conditioning!!! Top Job Kayne!!
Awesome work, what we asked for, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The work done was reflected with the age of the car, aircon and wiring cleaned up in a 77 torana. Highly recommend
This business has got it right. We had a power source fitted to our new D-max and an Anderson plug.Very professional. Friendly and informative staff. You actually get to meet with the technician that is working on your vehicle. We highly recommend this business.Thank you Team. Awesome work.
Efficient and affordable auto-electrical service. The issue with my car and what actions were taken were clearly explained to me with words I could understand as a person who doesn't know anything about cars.Extra kudos to Jaimee at the reception who was an absolute delight to deal with both by email and in person!Keep up the great work team! You are a statement of how a business should operate!
Excellent service so far. My relationship with Voltaic is ongoing and I trust them with my car. They explain stuff and give me accurate estimates and finish times. They check the whole car, diagnose and give me options. So far so good. Great customer service.
We've had a few pieces of work done by the Voltaic team and they've smashed it out of the park every time. Special thanks to Kane who helped us most recently. Great communication throughout, super knowledgeable. Whole team makes you feel welcomed and no question too silly. Thanks!
I recently had a two way radio installed, as well as a dedicated wire from the battery to the trailer plug, to power a 3 way caravan fridge. My car is a brand new Pajero Sport. The service I got from Voltaic was amazing. Even though this is a fairly routine job, it did offer up some intricacies due to the vehicle being brand new, meaning things like smart alternators had to be factored into the way the wiring was installed. I was kept completely in the loop about how the installation was going to be performed. I received a call from, Chipper and Cody informing me about the best way to achieve what I wanted, based on the wiring diagrams supplied by Jayco. I'm convinced that Voltaic is one of the most professional vehicle repairers I've ever come across.
Can’t thank the guys at Voltaic enough! Managed to fit me in on short notice just before Christmas when a different company fell through on a dual battery system. All the staff were friendly and always happy to help. Kayne did an awesome job of the dual battery system with all wiring tidy and ran through everything he’d done upon pick up. I’ll definitely be using Voltaic for anything auto electrical related in the future!
Haven't got the car back yet, BUT, this is the only place that I have taken my car in for air conditioning in the last 2 months (it's been to 5 other places...) and have ACTUALLY called me up to explain what needs to happen, they asked to keep overnight and I have no issue in doing so because they made me feel comfortable enough to agree to.The call made me feel valued and not just another way to make money, so thankyou so much for updating me as you go, hopefully the issue with the car AC is solved. I have no doubt the car is in the best of hands 🙂
Always accommodating when trying to schedule appointments at late notice. Tara has always been very helpful
The crew at Voltaic are awesome. I have dealt with Dion there twice now and he has excellent customer service. Great communication on what works need doing and pricing is fair and reasonable. Go here for all your auto sparky needs!
Very grateful for the help I received with my car, the team at voltaic was happy to help me last minute. thanks to josh for his time
As someone who prides themselves on customer service and product knowledge in their own workplace, the team at Voltaic are flawless. Something as simple as converting the halogens on my hatchback turned into a bit of a saga, but Voltaic had the solutions at every turn. Special mentions to Tara and Chippa. My headlights now work beautifully, and I will be recommending Voltaic to anyone requiring any auto-electrical work and knowledge.
Super job, top fitting by Kayne, yes we Kayne, plus lovely Tara setting it all up. Well done guys!
Excellent service, professional
Car had been to a Ford dealership repetitively. They couldn’t find the intermittent starting problem. Dropped it off at HQ, Kane rang me for background info and fixed it. Was looking at having to buy another car and selling this one for next to nothing. Thanks guysBrian
Living in a time where real customer service is hard to find it was very refreshing dealing with this Company. I had a brake controller as well as Anderson plug connection for charging my caravan battery whilst towing installed in our brand new vehicle. They were friendly, welcoming, very helpful and I felt completely comfortable leaving our new car in their hands. The job was done to perfection - The technician Leon who did the work was fantastic. He was very professional, took his time to discuss and explain every detail to me. I highly recommend these guys.
The old lady Receptionist was a dirt bag, almost lost my licence because she lied about my breathalyser machine.Won’t recommend this place to anyone purely because of her.
I went with Voltaic to do a heap of mods on my D-Max and I have had an absolutely flawless experience from the moment I brought the car in for a consultation, to picking it up when it was done.Daniel is an absolute Legend! and at every stage went above and beyond to keep me up to date, took the time to talk me through everything, and I was really impressed by the professionalism shown throughout the whole process and especially the workmanship and quality of the finished product.I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The workshop is immaculate, and really reflects the standard of what these guys are doing here. They clearly take pride in their work and making the customer happy. This is how you run a business - I will definitely be back for more, won't take my car anywhere else now.
Customer satisfaction is difficult these days in any industry, but Voltaic has this covered hands down, as I’m extremely fussy with my vehicles..duty of care is 1st class, the team’s knowledge is the best in the business!Extremely highly recommended
Had a few items installed on my 300 series. From quote to install professional outfit, highly recommend.

I’ve had my personal ups and downs with Voltaic.. but once you get to know them, they’re pretty alright people. Would definitely recommend for Alcohol Interlocks.
The team at Voltaic Auto Electrical are very professional. Thank you to Amy and Maddison at the front desk for your assistance and advice.
Very helpful and informative staff.
I would like to give a BIG thank you the team at Voltaic and in particular to young man Justin who did an amazing job with my Ford Ranger. Removal of mechanical engine fan and installation of 2 x Davis Craig electric fans. 1st class work. Thank you.
Great service, fixed horn in 75 series landcruiser which the manufacturer dealership did not want to know about. Up front with cost and keep you informed throughout repair work of any changes.
Was hunting down a heavy duty 200w solar panel for our caravan all across Perth while we were passing through - where supply seems short (March '23). Chipper answered my call, gave me the Hard Korr current deal price, put it aside for me and then even gave me a call on my way just to let me know address on Google might not be quite correct and to let me know exactly where they were located. Small courtesy but nice overall touch and customer service and easy to deal with. Thanks
Bought a Prado 150 series into these guys a while back with what I thought was a minor issue (turned out to be bigger then we all thought), the boys and ladies there were super helpful, friendly and reliable! They went over and beyond to make sure my car was A1 when I got it back. A massive special thanks to Paul the auto electrician and Amy the awesome receptionist for all there hard work!
Clean workshop - Busy
Not a great experience. My mechanic informed me that I needed to replace my AC compressor and condenser. They were busy so I went to Voltaic as they were nearby and close to the train for work. I spoken to them about the issue and what my mechanic had said. At this point it was clear that the compressor was struggling and making a loud noise. I was convinced to do a AC service as it may resolve the issue and save an expensive repair. I arranged a date and dropped the car off and headed to work. Called later that afternoon to check what time I should come by to pick the car up to be informed that they hard started late and need the car overnight. It is our only car so this was an issue. I arranged to bring the car back the next day to finish the service the day before the Christmas shut down. Service was complete and they seemed confident it was fixed. AC held pressure and it was blowing cold air but the system still sounded like it was struggling. Christmas day I found a puddle of green liquid in the driveway (AC Leak Dye) and the AC was hardly working.I was not to put off by this as it was a risk. I subsequently procured the compressor and condenser needed and booked another date with Voltaic to fit them. Dropped the car off for the one day job, called later that day to check how things were going again to be told they had started on it later and would have to have it overnight. This was most disappointing for a second time. However the most disappointing thing was when i picked the car up the next day. AC was working great no compressor noise feeling happy. Got to school pickup and realized the wheel arch trim and not been re-attached properly. I returned to Voltaic to discuss with the tech for him to explain that the clips were single use and that he should have mentioned it. I explained being able to get me fingers in the panel gap was not acceptable and I expected it to be fixed. Voltaic called me the next day to let me know they had the clips and to stop by and they would fit them which they did.In closing. Maybe consider them for electrical work but confirm it will be done the day you are expecting. I would maybe look wider for AC repair.

Frequently asked questions.

How much does a dual battery system cost?

The cost of a dual battery system depends on the type of battery you choose, your vehicle type, and where you want it installed. Our rates start from $1900 including the cost of the battery and equipment required for the system.

How long does it take to install a dual battery system?

Installation typically takes 6-8 hours depending on the type of system, your chosen installation location of the products, and the complexity of the work involved.

What is the best type of battery for a dual battery system?

The type of battery to choose for your dual battery system depends on how much you wish to spend and where you would like it installed in your vehicle. We recommend a deep cycle wet-cell battery for installation under the bonnet or in the tray of your ute. This type of battery tends to build up gasses during charging, so it needs to be away from vehicle occupants. If you would like to install the battery in your vehicle’s cabin or in a canopy, we recommend one that won’t leak, spill, or emit gasses, such as a deep cycle AGM, lithium, or gel battery.

What is a deep cycle battery?

Deep cycle batteries differ from regular car batteries in that they are constructed with thicker battery plates and denser active material. This helps them withstand the repeated charge and discharge cycles of a dual battery system.

How does a dual battery system charge?

The simplest method of charging your second battery is by using your vehicle’s alternator. The battery charges while you are driving your vehicle, in the same way as your main (starter) battery. When installing your dual battery system, we isolate the second battery from your main battery to ensure your main battery does not flatten.
