Response from the owner:Hi Jonathan, On the phone call we didn’t quote you $1300 for a simple immobiliser 😅. We gave you a range starting at a couple of hours to a full day which could be up to $1300 for the bells-and-whistles, Fort Knox-level security systems. Think of it like cars. You can grab a base model Corolla, or you can go all out with a 300 Series LandCruiser. Both will get you from A to B, but one’s got a whole lot more features under the bonnet. Totally fair if you didn’t need the high-end option, but leaving a 1-star review for being offered choices? We’ll keep being upfront with our pricing ranges so customers know their options, and we wish you the best finding the setup that suits your needs.
Went in for Diagnosis, told how good they were at diagnosing over the phone, after an hour could not find a fault or diagnose the fault.
Charged me $200...

These guys (and gals) at Voltaic are seriously amazing. This is your old school customer sercice on steroids. We pulled in with our chevy and off road caravan thinking we would be asked to make an booking and come back which we could not do. We had an issue with our trailer brakes constantly disconnecting. They sorted it out for us right there and then. So happy ! Thank you very very much !

What a fabulous company! Their growth is definately for a reason and it has in no way changed the quality of service. Chipper is so helpful and Dion got the job done with a minimum of fuss. Kayne attended to several different vehicles in our fleet and deserves all the praise I can bestow. What a patient and professional young man. Took his time to explain and teach me about some basics. Was still mindful of timing so I was not overcharged. 10/10 recommend this company. I will most definately be using them in the future.

I recently visited Voltaic in Welshpool to have a lightbar fitted to a company Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming — the staff are not only friendly and approachable, but it’s also great to see how well they interact with each other, creating a positive and professional vibe in the office.

The team are incredibly knowledgeable and take the time to clearly explain all your options, ensuring you feel confident about the work being done. They’re also very detail-oriented in their approach, which really shows in the quality of the finished job.

Despite the RAV4’s notoriously poor build quality at the front end — with flimsy plastics that could have made the install tricky — the Voltaic team handled it effortlessly. They cleverly mounted the bar behind the grille and secured it to the sturdier crash bar, making the install both neat and durable. This not only looks great but also keeps the lightbar safe from potential “carpark bandits.”

On top of their professional service, their pricing is very reasonable. The site even has a café and some comfy couches inside, which makes waiting around far more pleasant.

Voltaic are also fleet and mining certified, making them an easy recommendation for both individuals and businesses needing auto electrical or air-conditioning services.

My experience with Voltiac was very positive. Their quote was fair and competitive. I got to speak to the electrician who did the job both at the start and at handover. I was able to ask all my questions. If the electrician was unsure about something he consulted with his colleagues. Everything was done as requested. Office staff were also very prompt and professional.

I had a very poor experience with Voltaic Welshpool. I brought my car in due to some safety system malfunctions. They told me upfront it would cost $300 for a level 2 diagnostic, which I agreed to.

After about two hours, they told me they couldn’t continue the diagnosis because they didn’t have the wiring diagrams needed and advised me to take the car to Toyota. Despite not actually diagnosing the problem or providing a solution, they still charged me the full $300.

When I raised my concern with the manager, he was rude and dismissive. He said, “Our time is not free,” and told me that even though it wasn’t the outcome I wanted, they had “done the procedures”. But in reality, they did not find or explain the issue — just told me to go elsewhere.

Paying $300 for no actual result and dealing with unprofessional customer service left me very disappointed. I would not recommend this place, especially if you’re dealing with anything beyond basic repairs.
Response from the owner:Hi Muhammas, You agreed to book your vehicle in for a Level 2 Diagnostic Appointment, due to multiple safety system fault codes. Our Level 2 Diagnostic covers up to 2 hours of labour to accurately inspect and identify faults. In your case, our technician worked on the vehicle for 1.5 hours, confirmed the source of four separate fault codes, and provided you with a printed diagnostic report. We understand the frustration of not having a full resolution on the day. Unfortunately, when it became clear that further progress required specific wiring diagrams only accessible through Toyota, we advised you to continue the repair process with them using the report we provided — to save you additional time and cost. As for the conversation with our manager, we’re sorry if it came across as dismissive. The intention was to explain that the fee covered the professional time and work completed, which was communicated and agreed upon before the booking. In good faith, we only charged for 1.5 hours of work rather than the full Level 2 rate. That said, we always aim to provide clear communication and respectful service. Your feedback has been taken seriously and will help us refine how we handle cases like this in the future. If you’d like to discuss this further, we’d be more than happy to speak directly — please don’t hesitate to reach out. — The Voltaic Team

I recently returned to Voltaic Welshpool to have a few upgrades to my Landcruiser 200 series after a great experience having a new GME XRS-370C CB radio installed. This time had a Headlight upgrade, solar panel installed on rhino rack plus a Gator Dash Cam installed. From booking through Jaimee at reception to Max doing the installation the whole process was very friendly and professionally done. Great communication throughout the whole process delivered the end result being a very satisfied customer. I highly recommend the Voltaic team and also make mention of the great cooperation with the Elite Tune team who also did some great work at same time & place. Congrats to you guys.

I haven't had the pleasure of using Voltaic's services, but my review is solely based on my interaction with one of their staff.

Vince rang me to let me know that a courier dropped off a package for me. They had dropped it off to them instead of where my office was, a couple of buildings further up the road.

Vince was courteous, very professional and was happy to hold on to the parcel for me.

I was very impressed by Vince. His honesty, integrity and attitude to doing the right thing is truly admirable. If Vince exemplifies Voltaic's company philosophy and approach to interactions with the general public, I will definitely look to them to get work done on our fleet vehicles.

Booked in to have a chat with Kody, went through ideas and plans for a dual battery set up. He was very knowledgeable and had a a good plan on how to execute my idea.
When picking up the van the work done was everything we had discussed, the work done was spot on and to a high standard.

I've been coming here to Welshpool for a while now with my FJ Cruiser and i am really happy with them. A decent sized business, with a large staff, more than one shop and a highly professional and organised operation, yet still really friendly and interactive. They are not the cheapest mob in town, but their costs are fair and reflect in the quality of their work.
Today i saw Tara at the front desk who was lovely and very helpful, as well as knowledgeable and young fella Max, who is a rippa! See you next time. JT from Kalamunda.

I had a really bad experience at Voltaic. I took my car there due to a faulty AC compressor, but instead of diagnosing the compressor, they spent two hours checking all the wiring and charged me $400 for it—despite me telling the technician that the issue was with the compressor. They wasted both my time and money. I then took my car to another service center, where they diagnosed the issue in just five minutes. They simply disengaged the power belt, and the rattling stopped, confirming that the compressor was cooked. While I appreciate their thoroughness, they completely overlooked the actual problem they should have checked in the first place.
